Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our client’s talented team of developers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building robust, scalable web applications and a proven track record of delivering high-quality code in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

·      Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

·      Identify and address performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot and debug issues.

·      Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.

·      Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.

·      Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional growth.

·      Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

·      Contribute to architectural decisions and design discussions.

Requirements:

·      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

·      5+ years of experience developing web applications using Ruby on Rails or any languages.

·      Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

·      Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORMs (e.g., ActiveRecord)

·      Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

·      Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., RSpec, Capybara) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI)

·      Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

·      Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

·      Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

·      Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

·      Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

·      Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

·      Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile
