Financial Operations Management:
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and closing activities.
Financial Reporting and Consolidation:
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Coordinate with various business units to gather financial data and ensure accurate and timely consolidation.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements and other relevant regulations.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to set financial targets and monitor performance.
- Prepare regular forecasts to anticipate financial outcomes and support strategic planning.
- Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing explanations and recommendations.
Strategic Financial Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and business plans.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Ensure the finance team is equipped with the necessary tools and skills to perform their duties effectively.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company's financial health and stability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Degree in Finance & Accounting, or a related field; or MIA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a senior finance role, with a focus on operations and consolidation within a PLC will be advantage
- Strong knowledge of MFRS, IFRS, and experience with financial reporting and consolidation.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and preferably advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
You will oversee financial operations, ensure accurate financial reporting and consolidation, and provide strategic insights to drive business performance. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial processes, and the ability to manage a team effectively with career growth trajectory.
