In 2018, it became clear that although there were a plethora of remarkable companies throughout South East Asia that offered a range of financial services, there were still substantial disparities between consumers, merchants, and financial services providers. In order to bridge these gaps, they decided to create a platform that was universal and unprecedented. Such a platform had never been attempted before, and its realization was no easy feat.
