Position Title: Mechanical Design Engineer (Singapore)

Tenure: Permanent

Remuneration: SGD3,300 and above

Job Description

· Designs jigs and fixtures as the case may be.

· Design for fabrication/ Assembly/ Maintenance Research and Development of current or New Products.

· Generates manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards Interfaces with customers for technical discussion.

· Research and analyse customer design proposals, specifications and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.

· Specify system components to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.

· Understand the design requirements and create the conceptual design/mechanism for the heavy trucks.

· Generate detailed engineering drawings of the design and prepare the Bill of materials.

· Responsible for the preparation of the manufacturing drawings of the detailed design.

· Conduct Finite Element analysis and kinematics & Dynamics analysis to improve the design performance.

· Engage with the manufacturing team during design stage and manufacturing stage to ensure the smooth transition from design to manufacturing.

Requirements :

· Candidate must possess Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and related courses.

· Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Mechanical design or Machine design is required for this position. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

· In depth knowledge in CAD/CAE applications such as SOLIDWORKS, CREO, Inventor and Unigraphics etc.

· Ability to work in the fast paced environment and work independently.

· Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and fundamentals including design principles, machine elements, and fabrication methods.
